The Upsides of an All-metal Swimming Pool for Commercial Investors

by Todd West

Certainly, swimming pools give a competitive edge to hotels, resorts, motels and any other business facility offering recreational and accommodation facilities. Swimming is a source of entertainment that will draw people to your hotel because they can always resort to the pool instead of sitting bored in the hotel room. However, constructing a swimming pool many not be a walk in the park for some hotel investors, especially those who are short on space.  You can resort to a steel pool with lesser demands compared to a traditional concrete swimming pool. The following are some upsides of a steel swimming pool for your commercial recreational facility:

You Don't Have to Build It in the Ground

One limiting factor about traditional concrete pools is that you have to build them in the ground. The foundation is dug up before building an enclosed wall structure to hold the water. If you are to build such a swimming on the upper floors of a building, you will need to dig deep into your pockets.  This is because of the rebar and other support mechanisms that will be needed to support the weight of the water and the pool itself. On the other hand, steel swimming pools are lighter than concrete pools. They do not add lots of the weight to the hotel building. This makes them a good option when you don't have space for an on-ground pool. You can have them on the roof top, top balconies and setbacks.

Steel Pools Are Self Supporting

Steel pools are also easy to support using beams and proper welding joints. There is little need to prepare and landscape the site, unlike their concrete counterparts.

Reduced Chances of Leaks

Leaks are common in concrete pools because of improper mixing of cementitious substances, ballast, and fine sand. Additionally, some weather conditions also cause cracks in concrete pools, especially during winter when there is severe freezing and thawing. This is not the case with steel pools. After joining the steel pieces together, sealing, and insulating the metal against weather elements, that's it. The pool will be in good condition, and you will not have to worry about any cracks.

Easy and Fast Installation

The process of joining steel pieces into a pool is faster than putting up a concrete structure from scratch. A steel pool does not need time to cure, unlike concrete. Your pool will be ready for use in no time.

About Me

Operating a Processing and Manufacturing Facility

Hello, my name is Freddie. While I do not actually work in the processing or manufacturing sector, I do have a lot of knowledge about it. I gained this knowledge during one long summer when I helped my cousin who owns a processing and manufacturing facility located in Sydney, Australia. On my first day, I really didn't have a clue what he produced or how the facility worked. However, as the weeks passed and I got to know everyone in the different departments, my understanding grew. I decided to start this blog so I could share my knowledge with others.
